NEWAYGO (WOOD-AM) - Newaygo Public School Superintendent Jeff Wright tells WOOD-TV that a staffing shortage is to blame for a week-long closure.
“We did not have enough to cover the classes,” Wright said. “As we look at the number of staff members that are out, we are fairly confident that we will come back on Tuesday.”
He says it's a mix of COVID-19 and seasonal illnesses. Substitutes are also in short-supply.
