GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kent County Sheriff's Office announced that Patrol Deputy David Cook died on Monday from complications with COVID-19.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
In both 2020 and 2021, coronavirus has been the leading cause of death for officers nationwide, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
