LANSING (WOOD-AM) - Gov. Gretchen Whitmer raised $3.1 million for her re-election campaign during the third quarter of this year, according to new filings.

She has accepted $50,000 from Kalamazoo philanthropist and retired pharmaceutical executive William Parfet and retired Western Michigan University professor timothy light, exceeding normal campaign donor limits.

Republican James Craig has raised $1.4 million. That includes contributions from former republican governors Rick Snyder and John Engler.
