Money Set Aside for City, GRCC to Find Water Treatment Employees

LANSING (WOOD-AM) - $500,000 is going to Grand Rapids Community College, the city of Grand Rapids and Bay College in Escabana to address a water treatment labor shortage.

The funds will be used to help introduce middle and high schoolers and high unemployment neighborhoods to water utility jobs.

GRCC has announced a "water weekend" to share information with younger people.
