The Michigan Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission is heading to Grand Rapids to assess how the Grand Rapids Police Department is doing.
Chief Eric Payne says he believes they are not only meeting but exceeding best practice for law enforcement.
Members of the community can share their input on the department by phone or email.
Calls will be answered between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday and will be limited to five minutes.
