SPENCER TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Around 7 a.m. Friday morning, a barn caught on fire behind a house on Keller Avenue just northeast of Cedar Springs, killing three goats.
The homeowner says that 30 chickens that were in the barn were not hurt, and believes the goats may have knocked over a heating lamp, which sparked the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
