State Plans to Replace Benton Harbor Lead Lines in 18 Months

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - According to Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist, the state is aiming to replace all of the lead lines in Benton Harbor in the next 18 months, to a high amount of lead contamination in the city's water.

For now, the state is going to bring 20 semi-truckloads of water to Benton Harbor every Monday until the water is considered safe.
