Study will see if aquarium could thrive in Muskegon or GR

John Ball Zoo is launching an economic feasibility study to see if a large aquarium could thrive in Grand Rapids or Muskegon.

Zoo officials say the study will take between nine and 12 months to complete.

John Ball Zoo CEO Peter D'Arienzo says they are looking at several locations and evaluating economic impact, and the size and type of aquarium to see what would be the most successful.

D'Arienzo says it could be 10 years before an aquarium is built.
