Although summer is over and it'll be too cold to go in any lakes for the next few months, one lake in Michigan was named a top spot in the world for skinny dipping.

MyDatingAdvisor.com set out to find the best skinny dipping areas globally and a few of them just so happened to be in the Midwest.

After some research, MyDatingAdvisor compared 100 nude beach spots worldwide, where public nudity is legal, and rated them by looking at four key components: beach quality, weather, safety, and hotel cost.

So, where in Michigan made the best skinny dipping place in the world list?

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park located in Carp Lake Township was ranked the 31st best spot out of 100.

Among the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, only 12 other beaches in the United States made the list. Those 12 others are located in California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Two of the U.S. beaches made the top 25. Washougal River, located in Washougal, Washington, was ranked at No. 12 and Mazo Beach in Madison, Wisconsin, ranked at No. 22.
