GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - There's a new mural in downtown Grand Rapids that recognizes Maurilia "Molly" Ortiz Blakely, who helped to organize the city's first Hispanic festival over five decades ago.
It's located in an alley off Fulton Street.
"Beyond words seeing the mural," Molly’s son, Arturo Armijo, told WOOD-TV.
Blakely died in 2015 at the age of 87.
