Father Seeks $1M in Lawsuit after Teacher Cuts Daughter's Hair

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Jimmy Hoffmeyer, father of seven-year-old Jurnee filed a $1 million lawsuit in Grand Rapids on Tuesday against Mount Pleasant Public Schoos, a librarian and teacher's assistant.

The lawsuit alleges his daughter's constitutional rights were violated, among other allegations.

The event that spurned the lawsuit comes from when one of Jurnee's classmates used scissors to cut her hair, before a teacher tried to even it out two days later.
