GRFD: Don't leave kids or pets in cars in heat

The Grand Rapids Fire Department is reminding people to not leave pets or children locked in hot cars.

The department says they responded to two incidents of kids locked in vehicles during the extreme heat on Tuesday.

The children were not harmed, but officials say it is still dangerous.

Temperatures on hot days can quickly rise to dangerous levels.
