MSP releases name of man who shot deputy

Michigan State Police say the person who allegedly shot and killed a Kalamazoo County sheriff's deputy over the weekend has been identified.

Officials say 35-year-old Kyle Goidosik fled from officials on Saturday night and opened fire from his car which killed Deputy Ryan Proxmire.

Officials then chased Goidosik, he opened fire again and officers returned shots, killing him.

MSP say he drove off from a traffic stop earlier in the day and it is unclear why police pulled him over.
