GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - The West Michigan Humane Society is asking for donors to help support the recovery of a 2-year-old beagle who needs special treatment and surgery.
Brianna Shaly, who is with the organization, says a recent X-ray found 80 buckshot pellets in her body. She's also dealing with severe hip deformities.
"Unfortunately, we don't know too much about Reba's actual story," Shaly tells WOOD-TV. "She was a transfer to us. There was a shelter in the south that received her originally and she just had way too many issues going on for them to be able to support her."
They're hoping to get Reba a surgery on her femur, which should make her more comfortable.
