COVID-19 vaccine doses expire as demand remains low

As demand for the COVID-19 vaccine remains low, Michigan now has doses expiring.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says so far over 200,000 doses have expired before they could be used.

The Ottawa County Health Department says it currently has 5,000 doses of the vaccine that will expire by October.

MDHHS says they are attempting to move the doses to where demand is higher.
