Consumers: Tens of Thousands Without Power After Overnight Storms

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Consumers Energy crews are hard at work trying to fix thousands of power outages across the state following stormy weather overnight.

Statewide, the utility was reporting over 185,000 outages at 7 a.m. Nearly all of West Michigan is impacted.

Most of the outages should be resolved by tonight, according to estimated restoration times posted by the utility. Some, however, may be without power for longer.
