Benefit to raise funds for Kalamazoo shooting spree memorial foundation

The ForeverStrong Memorial Foundation has a big weekend planned.

Founder Laurie Smith says helping other people is the only way she can move on after losing her husband and son the night of the Uber shooting spree in Kalamazoo in 2016.

Smith says just like a family, they are stronger together.

The annual event was cancelled last year due to COVID-19.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the foundation as well as soccer scholarships.
