An Iowa man is facing federal charges after traveling to West Michigan with the purpose of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
Dennis Patrick Reid of Oskaloosa, is accused of traveling across state lines for the purpose of engaging in a sex act with a minor and using the internet to attempt to induce a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity.
According to court documents, a Homeland Security Investigations agent pretended to be a 12-year-old girl when he met Reid online in May.
Reid admitted to previous sexual abuse during their conversations.
