GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - A Grand Rapids officer is one of four finalists for an officer-of-the-year award through the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Derrick Learned started a program that provides free driver's education.
"It is truly an honor to be recognized by my peers for the effort and hard work my partners and I put in with the Boys and Girls Clubs," Learned said in a statement. "It's an amazing opportunity to work every day with such great kids and see their personal growth."
