UofM making changes of handling of sexual misconduct allegations

The University of Michigan is announcing changes to how it handles sexual assault complaints.

The changes include revisiting the investigation process, revising policies and the creation of a new office.

U-M President Mark Schlissel says they have been working on getting the correct policies and procedures in place for years with mixed success.

The updates come after the university hired Guidepost Solutions, an outside firm, after the scandals with Dr. Robert Anderson and Martin Philbert.
