Man acquitted after 'AR-15' comment to aide of lawmaker

A Grandville man accused of threatening a state lawmaker's office has been acquitted.

A jury found Edward Kelman not guilty of misdemeanor malicious use of telecommunication services.

Kelman called the office of state Representative Laurie Pohutsky in May 2020 on accident.

He was trying to contact the Michigan Republican Party about his stimulus check.
