Court Ordered Panel OKs Effort to Repeal Pandemic Law

LANSING, Mich. - On Tuesday, a state board, forced by a court order, certified a petition to repeal the law Gov. Gretchen Whitmer used to set restrictions during the first year of the pandemic.

This means the Republican-controlled Legislature can remove the law without interference from Whiter, and could also be place on the upcoming 2022 statewide ballot for voters to decide.

Action in the Capitol appears to be the likely step.
