HOLLAND, Mich. - On Friday, a new Holland social district will start allowing people to buy alcoholic beverages and walk around with drinks in hand.
The district covers three blocks between 7th and 10th streets, and Pine and Columbus avenues. It will be open everyday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Holland joins cities such as Grand Rapids, Rockford and Lowell to have social zones, with 70 cities in Michigan that have similar social districts.
