As progress is made in the fight against COVID, optimism about a hotel going in over DeVos Place is on the rise.
Doug Small, CEO of the Experience Grand Rapids says construction could start late next year with the space being ready to open in 2024 or 2025.
The Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority was set to meet in March 2020 about the 20-story, 400 room hotel.
The meeting was cancelled due to the pandemic, however conversations about the proposed hotel have continued.
