Holland officers to soon get body cameras

Holland Public Safety police officers will soon get body cameras.

Officers currently have dashboard cameras in squad cars along that are equipped with microphones that record conversations with those on the other end of traffic stops.

Holland City Manager Keith Van Beek says the officers want the bodycams to serve both the community and themselves.

Holland City Council approved $250,000 for police body cameras last week.
