Battle Creek looking for other option after roundabout rejected

Battle Creek city leaders are looking for solutions to improve a busy intersection with a history of bad accidents.

The city commission decided to not move forward with a plan to build a roundabout at North Avenue and West Emmett Street, at a meeting in April.

Carl Fedders, director of public safety, says the city had two grants that would have paid for most of the project.

Fedders says they received a lot of opposition to the project.
