HOLLAND (WOOD-AM) - Community Action House has broken ground on its new food club on Paw Paw Drive in Holland.
It's scheduled to open this fall.
In part, the facility's goal is to give the city's food insecure population easier access to fruits, vegetables and other healthier foods.
"Last year, we saw an unprecedented need," Executive Director David Rumpsa told WOOD-TV. "We had never served so many people so quickly in such deep a crisis than we did last March and April once so many of our guests turned to us for the first time ever."
