Report: Settlement Reached Between Inmate's Family, Muskegon County

MUSKEGON (WOOD-AM) - A settlement has been reached between the Muskegon County Sheriff's Office and the family of a jail inmate who died after suffering 17 seizures while in custody.

Terms of the deal with 39-year-old Paul Bulthouse's family were not disclosed.

The family filed a suit against the county, the sheriff, sheriff's deputies and nurses at the jail.

Attorney General Dana Nessel filed involuntary manslaughter charges against four guards and a jail nurse last month.
