Redistricting commission to hold public hearings

The commission working on redrawing legislative lines in Michigan will hold 16 public hearings for residents.

The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission is looking for public comment on how the lines for U.S. House and state Legislature districts should be redrawn.

The first meeting is scheduled to be held in Kalamazoo at Wings Event Center on May 13.

Input can also be submitted online.

Michiganders voted in favor of the commission in 2018.
