Lake levels low with little rain

Water levels on Lake Michigan are at a seasonal low as we head into the period of seasonal rise.

This year, water levels are forecast to stay well below records set in the past.

The Lake Michigan-Huron basin has seen around 64 percent of average precipitation in the past month which has led to a decrease in water levels.

West Michigan is currently ranking at either dry or moderate on the drought monitor.
