1 Governor Whitmer says she believes the latest surge in COVID-19 cases is coming to an end.
She made that claim Sunday during an interview with "Meet the Press", but did not elaborate or release any new data to back her claim.
However, the seven-day positivity rate did drop last week from 17 to 14 percent.
So why did the state mandate masks for 2 year olds?!
On Friday MDHHS Director, Hertel, issued the latest directive for kids 2-4 in daycare settings.
Fresh off of her trip out of state to Alabama after the Governor asked everyone else not to leave..
2 The jury returns to the courtroom this morning to hear closing arguments and begin their deliberations. The National Guard has been deployed in Minneapolis as the city braces for the decision.
3 Three people were shot and killed and three injured at a Kenosha, Wisconsin, tavern. A person of interest has been located and is facing a charge.
In Austin, Texas, three people were killed after an apparent “domestic situation,” and the suspect is still on the run.
In Columbus, Ohio, one person was killed and five wounded in a drive-by shooting at vigil for a gun violence victim.
We’re also learning more about last week’s incident in Indianapolis, in which police say a 19-year-old killed eight people at a FedEx facility. The suspect had been previously investigated by the FBI and his mom had reported him to police saying she feared he would attempt suicide by cop.
