Kalamazoo Cites Flood Risk in Closure of Homeless Camp

KALAMAZOO (WOOD-AM) - The homeless camp on Mill Street in Kalamazoo is closed due to a flood risk.

The city shut it down yesterday, citing the Kalamazoo River's history of flooding.

Around 120 people took the city's offer for a hotel. Others have moved to a camp on Ampersee Avenue.
