1 No new restrictions. Governor Whitmer gave an update on the surge in Covid positive test results yesterday. She asked people to continue wearing masks and encouraged everyone to get vaccinated but stopped short of any new restrictions.
2 The CDC held an emergency meeting on the Johnson & Johnson vaccine pause but did not vote on a new recommendation.
The pause will remain in place until more data is collected. The panel is expected to meet again in a week to 10 days.

3 The officer who killed Daunte White in an appearance accident by using her gun instead of her taser in Brooklyn Center, MN was arrested and charged with manslaughter yesterday.
She was taken into custody at 11:30 yesterday. Her first hearing is scheduled to take place today at 1:30.
24 people, most from outside Brooklyn Center, were arrested late last Wednesday in the 4th night.
Demonstrators gathered around the Brooklyn Center Police Department and erected makeshift barricades before lobbing bricks, bottles, and other projectiles at law enforcement officers.
