The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is confirming 8,867 cases of COVID-19.
The state also confirmed 74 deaths, of which 37 were found during records checks.
State labs tested as a positivity rate of 14.22 percent on Monday.
Kent County confirmed 504 new cases of COVID-19.
The county's death total was revised down by eight, which has not been uncommon as cases are double-checked and occasionally moved between jurisdictions.
