The COVID-19 vaccine is now open for anyone ages 16 and older in Michigan.
However, there are worries of cases of the virus continuing to rise as people travel for spring break.
Kent County has averages 203 cases per day compared to 70 per day back in the beginning of March.
Public health officials say people ages 20-29 are driving the numbers, but vaccinations are expected to have a large impact on getting the virus under control.
The county says 70 percent of residents 65 and older have received the vaccine compared to 11-13 percent of individuals in their 20s.
