The Allegan County Health Department held three clinics for COVID-19 vaccines over the weekend at Wayland Union High School.
The department says they vaccinated 2,500 people but turned away hundreds who fell victim to an email that appeared to be from the county saying it was their turn for a vaccine.
The email with the link to schedule an appointment appears to be from the county but isn't according to officials.
The health department says they don't know where the email or link came from.
