A man has been charged for the hit-and-run death of an 88-year-old woman from Allegan County.
Thirty-four-year-old Ryan McRae Cubbage of Douglas is charged with failure to stop at an accident scene when there is serious injury, lying to police and failure to stop at a scene causing death.
On June 13, Jean Beaty was walking on 117th Avenue when she was hit by a bar.
A good Samaritan found her lying partially in the road.
Beaty survived for 10 days after the accident until her injuries became too severe.
