Michigan confirms over 3,500 COVID-19 cases

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is confirming 3,579 cases of COVID-19.

The state also confirmed 16 deaths, eight of which came from records checks.

State labs tested at a positivity rate of 12.03 percent, which is the highest since November.

However the high positivity rate may be due to a unusually small number of tests.

Kent County confirmed 135 new cases of the virus.
