The Wayland Police Department says they were able to successfully rescue a Wayland city employee who fell in a wastewater lift station on Monday.
The incident happened on Reno Drive near 133rd Avenue around 1:30 p.m.
The employee was on the lift station when he fell, hit his head and was stuck in the 30-foot pit.
He was taken to the hospital by helicopter after he was rescued.
