GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - For the first time in about a year, the Grand Rapids Griffins welcomed hockey fans into Van Andel Arena.
It wasn't a full house, however. There were 750 fans in attendance due to coronavirus restrictions.
"I bet the players got to be ecstatic to have us up there,” Wade Madsen told WOOD-TV.
The Griffins fell to the Rockford Ice Hogs in overtime.
