Allegan County officials say on Sunday, hunters found human remains in a wooded area.
Deputies say the person was not buried but had been there for an extended period of time.
The remains were found near the intersection of 134th Avenue and 63rd Street.
Officials say they are waiting on DNA information but currently believe the remains are connected to a missing persons case.
