Over the weekend, East Grand Rapids High School will announce if they will continue in-person learning or switch to virtual learning, after the Kent County Health Department confirmed 16 students have COVID-19.
KCHD Community Wellness Division Director Joann Hoganson says they are trying to determine what contact the kids had that may have led to the outbreak.
Several of the students are on the boys varsity basketball team.
Classes remained in person on Friday.
