Gov. Whitmer and MDHHS loosen COVID-19 restrictions

Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services are revising the current epidemic orders to loosen restrictions.

Starting Friday, restaurants can stay open until 11 p.m. with 50 percent capacity.

Venues like movie theaters, bowling alleys or other entertainment venues can increase capacity to 50 percent up to 300 people.

Gyms can operate at 30 percent and retail can increase to 50 percent.
