The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services confirmed 1,245 new cases of COVID-19 and 9 deaths on Wednesday.
State labs tested at a positivity rate of 3.28 percent.
Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun says virus metrics in the state continue to improve with death rates, positivity rates and hospitalizations all on a downward trend.
However, Khaldun says she is concerned that the number of tests being taken each day is falling.
Khaldun says they want to ensure they can quickly identify any outbreaks as fast as possible.
