GR museum displays post-riot artwork

A peaceful protest over the death of George Floyd while in police custody last May, turned into a riot in downtown Grand Rapids.

The damage was estimated to cost around 2 million dollars.

Artists used the plywood covering doors and windows to create artwork focusing on race issues.

Those pieces are now on display at the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

The exhibit is called Windows GR and the museum says its a way to highlight Black voices.
