A Grand Rapids man's morning commute ended differently than planned.
On February 12, Michigan State Police Trooper Brandon Golden got the call that a car had fallen off southbound US-131 near the Fulton Street bridge.
Golden says he grabbed his med kit and was prepared, as he had been to the scene of accidents where drivers had been seriously injured in similar incidents.
However, driver Dave Zmudka was already standing outside his car.
His car was totaled after the 40 foot fall.
