GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - There will be fewer opportunities to get a first-dose coronavirus vaccine next week in Michigan.
It's because the federal government didn't deliver on promised doses.
"There just weren't very many doses and now (the state health department) is scrambling," Mid-Michigan District Health Officer Marcus Cheatham tells WOOD-TV. "They're looking for first doses all over the state to replace the missing second doses."
State health officials say they need to pull first-dose appointments to ensure that other people get their second doses.
