Kalamazoo Public School will stay fully remote for school year

Kalamazoo Public Schools is deciding to finish the school year without bringing students back into the classroom.

The district announced it will remain completely virtual citing it was the overwhelming option for teachers and staff.

The teacher's union has approved the plan.

Over the summer, the district will create a plan for the 2021-2022 school year.
