Sentencing for Rockford man in ethnic intimidation case

A Rockford man will serve two years probation after pleading no contest to ethnic intimidation involving a gun.

Mark Tiffany is accused of pointing a gun at his Black neighbor who was grilling with his 8-year-old son in the parking lot of Rockford's Colonial Hotel.

Rockford police say Tiffany claimed his neighbors were out to get him.

Officers say Tiffany used ethnic slurs and admitted to believing racist sentiments.
