Despite the pandemic, rent prices continue to rise for houses and apartments.
Numbers from 2019 to 2020 show rent increased 2 to 5 percent in monthly rent.
According to the 2020 National Rent Report from Apartment List, the median monthly rent for a aone-bedroom apartment in Grand Rapids is $868.
However prices close to $1,000 are also common closer to downtown GR.
